Cats that fall on their feet while standing up might have some serious health problems within. And it doesn't matter if your cat is usually graceful or not. It might just have contracted a disease that just isn't showing. The most common culprit of cat diseases is the food they eat. It is very important that you feed your cat right all the time.

When it comes to food, owners should be more aware of the meal they give their pets each day. The truth is, cats don't need food variation. Cats find it difficult to adjust to different types of food given to them. Their digestive tracts don't handle new food well.

The best way to go when devising the best meal plan for your cat is to consult with a veterinarian. Vets can tell you how much of what food your cat is supposed to eat. But before vets can give you a good diet plan, they need to examine your cat to assess a lot of factors. The health of cats is very fragile. If you can't feed it right in the way its lifestyle requires, health issues may arise.

The proper growth and development of your cat lies in your hands. You have to do everything that's needed to ensure that the cat is in pink of health at all times. Right food, adequate exercise, and a pleasant environment are all necessary to keep your cat healthy. You should also observe your cat's drinking and toilet habits to ensure everything about their bodies is working normally as it should.

Cystitis is the most common health issue observed in cats. This disease has a lot to do with the cat's urinary tract. Cystitis is an irritation that makes the cat urinate more often than necessary and in small quantities.
And the whole process can be painful for your pet too. If you cat has cystitis, take it to the vet immediately. The veterinarian would then provide the right treatment after finding out what actually caused the disease. Drugs and supplements are available to restore the good health of your cat. And in cases like this, wet cat food is best to feed your pet with. Wet food doesn't induce water intake and it won't form crystals in its urinary tract.

But don't drastically shift your cat to wet food if it is used to eating dry. If you push it, other health problems may occur on top of cystitis. On the average, 1 out of 100 cats suffer from cystitis. If you think that the possibility of your cat contracting this disease is low, think again. Keep in mind that there are more than a thousand cats in a very small town. If you suspect that your cat has cystitis, consult with a veterinarian immediately.

Aside from cystitis, worms are another health problem cats face. Parasites are the main enemies of cats, as well as dogs and horses. There are several types of worms that can find its way to your cat's intestines. And if your cat is infected, you run the risk of being infected too – especially if your cat had become host of the worm's eggs. If your cat accidentally licked your food, or maybe the utensils you use for eating, then the worms can transfer to you. Being exposed to cat's dropping is another possibility.

Cats affected with worms should be treated right away. Right now, there are a lot of medicines that can be given to them. But just the same, don't abruptly change the food or the amount you used to feed to your cat. Cats need all the nutrients they can get to sustain their strength to successfully combat the disease.

If your cat is infected, make sure that it doesn't come in contact with other pets and small children. It should have a clean place and a fresh liter all the time. Keep in mind that cats are very delicate animals. You need to do things right to keep your cats healthy.
